Welcome back to copyandcredit and to the new year! So the entertainment industry is back up and running again, pilot season is ready to begin, prospects of an improved recovery are showing and everyone has made new years' resolutions (including yours truly).
Per someone's comment on an earlier post, I did find a way to eat for under $20 a week while eating healthy, which is my challenging new year's resolution - keeping my expenses still very low while eating well (as in pretty much eliminating carbs & fat, which is a feat, let alone doing it on the cheap). A recent trip to the 99 cent store revealed the following:
Frozen garden mix - .99
Frozen strawberries - .99
Frozen raspberries - .99
Frozen broccoli - .99
Frozen green beans - .99
Dry Black beans - .99
Dry Red Kidney beans - .99
Large tub of salad/spinach - .99
Romaine Salad mix - .99
Lite salad dressing - .99
Dozen eggs - .99
5 chicken cans @ .99 each
5 Tuna fish cans @ .79 each
Tapatio hot sauce .79
Total was $19.60 and has lasted over a week. Drink water and you're good to go. This is also a good book to check out as well on healthy, cheap living:
I know it seems tough to acheive more than one goal at a time (in this case eating well and keeping expenses very low) but with focus, creativity and determination it is possible. What goals do you have that may come in conflict with livng a less expensive lifestyle?
